Recognition

This system is built for tone and presence, with long-session ease asked of the speaker.

Recommendation

I’d resolve the power mismatch first — more amplifier power, or easier-to-drive speakers.

More power buys you the dynamics; easier speakers buy you keeping the amplifier you love. Either way, the system’s character shifts.

Engineering

The Decware SE84UFO (2W) cannot adequately drive the Magnepan LRS+ (86 dB sensitivity).

At normal listening levels you hear it as soft dynamics, loose bass and the sense that the system is straining to keep up.

Listening session

Put on something with air and inner detail and the system's priorities are audible immediately: leading edges are clean and quick, and the image extends wide without being pushed forward. The Holo May's warmth keeps that resolution from reading as clinical.

Over a long evening the character holds. The warmth stays present without turning soft, and the system remains easy to live with at volume and after hours.

Operating condition

Stacked warmth may reduce transient precision and spatial clarity
