Philosophy

Holo Audio designs discrete R2R DACs with dual-mono architecture and proprietary resistor-ladder networks. Designer Jeff Zhu's approach combines the harmonic richness of R2R conversion with careful attention to power supply isolation and analogue output stage quality. The May is the flagship; the Spring is the accessible entry.

Sonic Character

Holo Audio DACs are described as warm, harmonically rich, and dynamically engaging. The May KTE (Kitsune Tuned Edition) is considered one of the strongest R2R DACs at its price — delivering dense tonal body with better transient definition than many warm-leaning competitors. Spatial presentation is wide and natural.

Pairing Guidance

Holo DACs add warmth and harmonic texture to the system. They pair naturally with transparent or fast amplification where the R2R density provides a welcome counterbalance. In already warm or dense systems, care is needed to avoid congestion. The May KTE is widely used in high-end headphone and speaker systems.
